INFORMATION REQUIRED
PENSION LOSS
- Date of birth and marital status
- Date of joining and leaving previous employer/pension scheme
- Benefits awarded on leaving (eg a deferred or immediate ill-health pension for final salary schemes)
- Gross salary on leaving and current gross salary of comparator employees, if available
- Details of promoted levels of pay, if appropriate
- Details of pension scheme (benefit statements, booklets, etc). Please note we have scheme information for all public sector and many private sector schemes
- Date of joining new employer/pension scheme and salary/pension details, if appropriate
- Copies of relevant background information and correspondence
- Copies of any employment/medical reports on file
- A Mandate from the pursuer/claimant is not always required but can be useful in more complex cases
FUTURE EARNINGS LOSS
- Date of birth
- Gross and net salary on leaving and current gross and net salary of comparator employees, if possible
- Details of promoted levels of pay, and the likely timing of promotion, if appropriate
- Copies of relevant background information and correspondence
- Copies of any employment/medical reports on file

FATAL ACCIDENTS

Pre-retirement:-
- Dates of birth of deceased and dependants
- Date of death
- Gross and net pre-accident earnings of deceased (and spouse for cases in England, Wales and Northern Ireland)
- Details of promoted levels of pay, if appropriate
- Details of benefits in kind e.g. P11D returns
- Copies of any vocational/employment reports on file
- Anticipated retirement age of deceased and spouse
Post retirement:-
- Dates of birth of deceased and dependants
- Date of death
- Details of any pension rights accrued by both the deceased (and his dependant spouse/partner for cases in England, Wales and Northern Ireland). This is to include previous occupations as well as the current occupation. Copies of any State pension forecasts on file
- Gross pre-accident earnings of deceased
- Details of promoted levels of pay, if appropriate
- Copies of any vocational/employment reports on file
- Anticipated retirement age of deceased
- Copies of relevant background information and correspondence
- A Mandate from the pursuer/claimant is not always required but can be useful in more complex cases

TRUST VARIATIONS

- A copy of the Will/Trust instrument
- Statement of the trust asset values and the income being generated
- If property is involved an open market rent on a shorthold assured tenancy basis may need to be estimated
- Dates of birth of life tenant(s)
- Dates of birth of non-charity reversionary beneficiaries
- A completed medical questionnaire (available on this site)
- Details of any IHT complications
